So I’m asking:
If you can help me afford VoteBuilder, I’d be so grateful.
It’s not just about efficiency—it’s about safety.

I’ve been using homemade turf maps to canvass. I didn’t want to pay $700 for VoteBuilder.

But VoteBuilder would let me reach voters by phone or email—and avoid another confrontation like this.

My very existence bothered him. Woman. Mom. Transplant. Democrat. It felt like it broke something inside him.

But the truth is—I didn’t feel safe around that guy.
He told me he was a retired cop. He was emotionally escalating. And I didn’t feel comfortable turning my back to him, which is why I didn’t just walk away mid sentence.

I kept walking.
To the next house. And the next. Because he doesn’t get to decide who belongs in Agawam. He doesn’t speak for everyone. And he sure as hell doesn’t scare me off.

Yes. They live here. With me. Their mom. Who is running for City Council.
Then he tried to quiz me on Agawam. I answered. He got angrier.
“Where’s your husband work?”
“Hartford.”
🖐️ “Bye.” And he stormed into the house.

He asked:
“Where did you grow up?”
“Illinois.”
“And you’re running here?”
“Yes. I live here.”
“Do your kids even live here?”

I told him this is a nonpartisan race. That I’m running to improve parks and recreation, increase transparency, and support working families. As I spoke, his face got redder. Arms crossed. Anger rising.

I walked away and made notes in my Google form.
Then he came back outside to call after me. Said he didn’t want me to think he was rude. Said he was a retired cop. Said he was “skeptical.”

Mid-sentence, he cut me off:
“What party are you registered as?”
I answered honestly—Democrat.
He threw up his hand towards my face and said:
🖐️ “Nope. No. Bye.”
