I passed the second of the three MTEL tests, while running a grassroots campaign, and chasing 3 kids under 5! 🙌🏻💪🏼

Taking the MTEL tomorrow and then I’ll be hitting the campaign trail the rest of week.

Wish me luck 🍀

The work never ends when you’re a mom and a grassroots candidate- even when your foot needs rest and ice. I’m trying to purchase votebuilder because it’ll help me door knock more efficiently and safely. It’s $700 and I’m $175 away. Can you help me get there? Go to christinerickmon.com & find donate

Icing my foot after door knocking and petting Scrappy. Happy Caturday!

While canvassing to hand out my palm cards, I knocked on a door hoping to speak to a woman listed as an unenrolled (independent) voter. Her husband answered. I introduced myself.

Just posted a new blog: Agawam could be doing better—for everyone.
Not just for one group or one building, but for the whole community.
That means kids, families, workers, seniors—all of us.
Let’s stop treating fairness like it’s a limited resource.

Agawam put a press release that was blurry and hard to read about a grant we earned. I break it down in the video below. 👇🏼

📣 I gave a speech at our campaign BBQ—and like most things in my life, it featured my 4-year-old asking questions mid-sentence and hunting for a toy.
This campaign is about real life—what families face and how our town can help.
It’s not polished politics—it’s honest conversation. I’m proud of that.

I’m on TikTok now—sharing pieces of my campaign, why I’m running, and the reality of being a grassroots candidate in Agawam.
There’s also some lighter stuff too, like me trying (and failing) to pronounce Massachusetts towns 😂

After teaching in Florida and seeing my kindergartners take 10 standardized tests in 2 weeks, I knew we needed a change.
We found Agawam—and it felt like home.
Now I’m running for City Council to help make this a town where more families can thrive.

If you’re at a No Kings Stand Out today- be safe, put on sunscreen, and drink water.

@indivisible.org why is the flagship stand out in Philly and not Boston? This is the birthplace of resistance to monarchy — of rejecting power held by the few. That legacy still matters. Grassroots leadership & shared power aren’t just history — they’re a vision for today.

Affordability shouldn’t feel out of reach — not in child care, not in our energy bills. I'm running for City Council because every voice should matter, and I want Agawam to work for everyone. Just me and my family here — thanks for joining us on this journey. 💙
