Our Lisa Desjardins' cat, Rocky, who appeared behind her when she reported from home, passed away Tuesday.

The short-haired tuxedo cat amassed quite a following, with viewers often writing in to ask about him.

He will be missed.

To give mom and baby time to acclimate, the indoor giraffe habitat is temporarily closed to guests. But don't worry! You can still catch all the cuteness via our livestream.

Trump: Gutting National Parks—And Hiding the Evidence

National parks hit 331M visits, but Trump officials don’t want you to know. A leaked memo bans the Park Service from promoting the numbers—while firing rangers, closing visitor centers, and cutting safety.

This won’t go well—we love our parks.

This is my favorite kind of non fiction book: an author teaches us about something I don’t particularly care about (bear attacks, in this case); tells about their subject in relation to their own life; writes well; cares deeply about the subject.

How to Survive a Bear Attack, out March 25. #booksky

If you are looking to do your part in saving democracy, I highly recommend you buy and read ONE book:

Howard Zinn’s a People’s History of America.

It’s a MUST read. It’s not for the faint of heart, but we are at war for the soul of this nation & you have to be hardened to face the fight

READ IT!
