I watched Society (1989) & @haileypiperfights.bsky.social is right - it's bonkers, and it's pretty great. This movie was honestly better than I thought it would be, and it's a hell of an interesting take on classist attitudes, greed, identity, and capitalism.

Since it's Christmas, here's something I wrote a few years ago, "Baby It's Cthulhu Outside" (can be sung to the tune of "Baby, It's Cold Outside"). Hope you enjoy, horror fans:
I'm not feeling sane (Baby, it's Cthulhu outside) It's time for his reign (Baby, it's Cthulhu outside) This feeling within (Been feeling Lovecraftian) is not so nice (He'll crack your mind like a sheet of ice) His eyes hold so much fury (You might want to start to worry) The earth will be shaken to the core (Listen to that unearthly roar) There's really no time to scurry (Your vision might go blurry) But maybe we should lay on the floor (His hatred is too much to ignore) The cities might sink (He's really mad out there) Not sure what to think (Seriously bad out there) I wish I knew how (Your eyes are so frightened now) To make this well (Our world will become his created hell) My mind is saying no no no (He's letting in some Mi-go) He's already broken my mind (Most of the world has already died) I'm not feeling sane....'Cause baby it's Cthulhu outside.
