A curious plant for a shady border: Asarum proboscideum, the mouse tail plant In flower now in NE England, but it’s not until you carefully part the leaves that you see the mice with their faces in the soil and their long tails up. #shadyborderplants #unusualplants #asarumproboscideum #DurhamUK

Sorbus ‘Pink Pagoda’ in my front garden this morning. Berries are stripped by blackbirds and fieldfares when the cold hits, but the pink berries are not normally their first port of call.
