There's ample evidence to show that Medicaid is associated with:

◾ better access to care for chronic disease
◾ improved financial well-being
◾ lower mortality rates
◾ increased rates of early cancer diagnosis

Work requirements don't increase employment.

Instead, they lead to:
◾ coverage losses (+ delayed care and medical debt for the disenrolled)
◾ administrative red tape for states + people

We know this from Arkansas and Georgia's experiences with them.

Most adult Medicaid beneficiaries who CAN work already DO work.

In 2023, 92% were either working full/part time or not working due to caregiving, illness or disability, or school attendance, per @kff.org.

CHCs are serving more patients than ever and providing:
✔️more behavioral health screening
✔️more substance use disorder treatment
✔️more care management in rural areas

...ALL while reporting workforce shortages across the board.
