It’s the chapter that describes the equity and inclusion statements that cropped up on almost every theatre and theatre department's website. The statements that YES weren't perfect and YES some were performative but goddamnit at least SOME of those theatres were doing the fucking work.

I just had to add a footnote to the closing chapter of my book that made my whole body seize up.

It's the chapter that describes the American theatre's response to the summer of 2020 and the We See You White American Theatre document.
