Nick Drage liked the post, so I'll share a current favorite game with Modern Age from Green Ronin. I absolutely love this system.

How excited am I that @greenroninpub.bsky.social's new book Modern AGE: Powers is out?

VERY.

It would have been easy for this movie, with a roller skate based sport, to wander into camp. Instead, it became a classic that holds up today.

What's a prop that I NEVER expected to see featured in a Hallmark Christmas Movie?

SHI: Black, White, & Red

And yet, there it is right in the middle of 2017's Sharing Christmas.

Looks like @autocratik.bsky.social gave this a 7th like, so here goes again. As you will begin to notice, I like a wide variety of RPG genres (especially Superheroes) and love to support Indie games.

Deep 7's Hero*Force is an attempt to create a minimalist Superhero game and it's a good effort.

This got a sixth like and so another game is added.

Mike Pondsmith's DREAM PARK role playing game is a brave attempt to provide a multi-genre role playing game with a basic rules set easy enough for new gamers and advanced rule robust enough for almost anything.

The fifth game I'm sharing from my library is a wonderful new presentation of a tremendous classic game. I especially love how this evokes the original cover by Louise Perinne.
December 5, 2024 at 10:38 PM
The fourth game, for the fourth like, will be a new game by David Okum called Los Kobolds. It's a Spaghetti Western game featuring Kobolds as protagonists that uses MORK BORG mechanics.

Because Michael Surbrook was one of the likes, let's include one of his games that's on my shelf.

Larger than Life is the role playing game of American Folklore Heroes. It's a great game that allows groups to run games featuring characters like John Henry and Paul Bunyan.

The second like gets a second role playing game. This time it is Dragonbane from FRIA LIGAN. This is an update of the classic Swedish RPG Drakar och Demoner which is a Swedish update of Chaosium's Basic Role Play system.

Two likes so far so here's the first game from my TTRPG library.

Good Guys Finish Last by Better Games is one of the first narrative role playing games every published. It was originally released as a part of Better Games' Avengers of Justice game that made rounds in the 90s at SoCal conventions.

About AD&D's Deities and Demigods book.

James Ward used to share this once a year. It aligns with what Michael Moorcock said in his interview with Kobold Quarterly.

Best Horror Film Ending?

The Woman in Black (2012)

It manages to be sad, tragic, happy, and scary all at the same time. It is a wonderful commentary on parenting.

I cover a ton in this week's Weekly Geekly Rundown. I begin with a fond remembrance of Vincent Price, include links to reviews/articles by @lytrules.bsky.social , recommend an RPG, Movie, songs, and chat about numerous great newsletters.
