me, in black running shorts and a blue hat, hugging a huge brown-orange juniper tree in the eastern sierras. my arms can only make it a tiny fraction of the way around the trunk me, in the same outfit, bending over to touch the leaves of a tiny quaking aspen tree beside a trail. the top is barely four feet off the ground the leaves of the tree in question with my hand for scale

back in my favorite place and ready to make it bluesky’s problem ✨
looking down on a mountain valley in the eastern sierra nevada. there’s two bright blue lakes on the left, and the slopes are covered in evergreen trees below sharp, snowy granite peaks rocks and pine trees poke through the record summer snowpack above a lake, still mostly frozen over, at the base of a sloping granite peak. turquoise patches and streaks show where the lake ice is beginning to melt and whisps of clouds streak the blue sky granite palisades, with snow clinging to their lower slopes, rise above an icy mountain lake. the ice closest to the near shore has begun to recede revealing the rocks along the bottom and mountainside reflected in the lake’s surface a sloping mountain peak rises above a pine forest at dusk with the sunlight fading behind the horizon
