Greenland PM Jens-Frederik Nielsen:

"If we have to choose between the US & Denmark here and now, we choose Denmark. We choose NATO. We choose the Kingdom of Denmark. We choose the EU."

"Greenland does not want to be owned by the US. Greenland does not want to be governed by the US" he later added.

There is almost no support in Greenland for breaking away from the Kingdom of Denmark and joining the United States.

In fact, there is majority support for undoing the 1982 #Greenexit vote where 53% voted to leave the EU.

Today Greenlanders are EU citizens, but it isn't EU territory.

In Greenland, hundreds of people joined a demonstration to protest against President Trump's claims to annex Greenland.

They held signs saying "Respect Greenland's sovereignty," "We are not for sale" and "Make America Go Away".

Special European Council Summit on Ukraine and European security has started in Brussels.

Yesterday, activists placed a massive banner in front of the summit site, calling on Europe to "Seize Russia's billions!"

Today, it became clear that the free world needs a new leader. It’s up to us, Europeans, to take this challenge.

There can be no talk about the fate of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people without the presence of representatives of Ukraine.

This reminds of the Munich Agreement in 1938.
