Is it accessible yet? This gradient should help. 🤦‍♂️

We were looking at some heatpump lineset penetration sealing options and this rectorsesl cover looks suspiciously elephant like.

When is the Rectorseal x Elephant Energy collab happening? @elephantenergy.bsky.social

Just in time for Hallowee’en, the scariest thing to see if you try to get around the city outside of a car. #autowa

Most wards already have a large number of home based businesses that I’m sure would jump at the chance to setup in their own neighbourhood storefront if invest Ottawa/City had a program to make it easier to help owners convert garages/acquire corner lots for this purpose.

We biked to Line 2, then took Line 4 to the EY centre for the rock and gem show. Kids had a blast and shorter headways really are a lifesaver. I don’t think we had to wait more than 10 minutes between trains.

I didn’t know Ottawa had so many rock enthusiasts.

@helps.octranspo.com is there a reason there aren’t there any bike racks at Dows Lake Station?

Stumbled across this pretty crazy foreign inference(?) ad on youtube spreading misinformation.
They cloned the cbc site to make it look legit.

Just have track down the people in the background.

They did it, they nabbed an Aventon Level 3 Step Thru. 🎉

$1000 ebike incentive where the first $600 covers your round trip flight to Paris, then when you get back you get $400 towards your bike

Anyone know of any of any architecture summer camps? My kids are slowly building all the craziest buildings/rooflines complete with people and things hidden in each room. @toondreessen.bsky.social

When transit doesn’t quite get you to where you’re going, you roll and ride.

This becomes much less necessary when Ottawa has bike share for last mile destinations.

Tbh, I’m surprised Bridgehead went this long without a significant rebrand.

Perfect weather for a heat pump crawl today. Really great turnout and lots of great questions. Thanks to everyone that came out, organized and hosted groups!

There’s a non-zero likelihood that many of the people complaining about speeding tickets being a cash grab have fallen for this Service Ontario scam, which is indeed… a cash grab.

Here’s the craziest thing about the speed camera rollout in Ontario:

They made munis install giant signs telling you there’s a speed camera in use up ahead. And you *still* blast past it and whine about it and claim it’s a cash grab? You’re lucky we don’t crush your car on the spot. Take the L.

Did you know Ottawa’s Health Sciences Gas Plant emit 1.13 tons of PM2.5 and the equivalent of 97 thousand tons of CO2 emissions in 2024? You can see the emission plumes travelling eastward on @climatetrace.org latest database release. climatetrace.org/air-pollutio...

Some highlights: actually spelling it out for people so there’s no misunderstanding.

I’m hoping these new painted lines on Anna are just to visually narrow the st and warm residents up to eventual grade separated facilities. They would connect to this planned bike lane at Tunis that currently dumps users into traffic.

Everyone’s kids deserve to be able to get to school safely.

In yet another story of cars ruining cities, Carling Avenue was widened to support peak hour mall car traffic and streetcar tracks on Holland were ripped up to support car/bus traffic

Great story on the history of Westgate Mall

Only thing I’d push back on here is this quote:

“Now it’s minus 5C […] obviously now there’s not a lot of heat in the [outside] air.

There’s actually still a lot of heat energy still in there (via @drewtozer.bsky.social’s book Feel Good Homes a.co/d/97BaA70)

For 1/1000 of the cost of someone standing around pointing a radar at cars, we can give Doug exactly what he wants.

I’m sure this could power a bunch of electric farm equipment at the experimental farm.
