Incredibly, most people I talk to are just living with their heads in the sand. Even intelligent, educated progressive folks are largely uniformed and unconcerned with our rapid descent into fascism. I suspect it was the same with the Germans in the 1930’s. We need to wake up before it’s too late. ⏳

There are a lot of obese Americans that will soon be on an involuntary diet! I just drove from LA to Lake Tahoe and back through the central CA mega farms. Not a single farmworker in sight in either direction. The food is rotting on the vines. Go maga!

Absolutely nothing trump says or does, no matter how horrific, will move the needle one iota to his loyal cult followers. There has never been a more thoroughly indoctrinated cult in American history. If you still harbor illusions this will finally break the spell you haven’t been paying attention.

Very few musicians I’ve worked with over the years, from legends to successful studio pros, have an extreme right wing authoritarian mindset. A tiny minority at best. Studying, performing music, and traveling the globe tends to expand and open one’s mind.

I always knew a small percentage of Americans were stupid. These were the kids same in high school who taunted and bullied the studious honor roll kids who played in the school orchestra. I just didn’t know until 45 came on the scene that there were so many!!

They don’t give a rats a$$ about the obvious lack of morality, overt racism, illegal and unconstitutional actions, kissing up to dictators, utter incompetence, destruction of longstanding relationships with our allies, etc. Only when their own wallets are thinning out do they begin to wake up.

It’s heartening to see micro cracks forming and a few die hard maga cultists are beginning to turn against their orange deity. The problem is that they only care when their own financial situation is being negatively impacted.
