I've said it before but if you need pyrotechnics, light shows and plastic flags to create an atmosphere on a European night, you're in a very sorry state.

Superb night watching #DesperateJournalist at Yes in Manchester last night. One of those rare perfect performances - music, band, atmosphere and venue were all spot on.

This is funny to read now but I also suspect most leavers would have thought it delusional even then.
Barely more than 6 months now until we all get to celebrate Daniel Hannan day!

Glorious sunrise morning run around Hale and Altrincham. Let's hope it's enough to rediscover my mojo, which has been MIA for most of 2024.

A great player on both sides of Stanley Park and, by all reports, a wonderful man too. Sadly missed.
Gary Ablett made his Reds bow on 20 December 1986, playing 90 minutes in a goalless draw with Charlton at Selhurst Park. He came to the team from the reserves and introduced himself as a great defender who was able to play a great role in the fantastic #LFC side of the late 80's.

Only 18 days to go until the mornings start getting lighter. We've almost made it.
Just a reminder, as you look outside and notice it's already getting dark 😱, that today is the earliest sunset of the year (15:51 in London). From tomorrow the sunsets slowwwwly start getting later again. (Sunrises don't start getting earlier until Dec 30th hence solstice on 21st.) YOU ARE WELCOME.

Fascinating thread
Does HS2 have a future?

And why does that question hinge on an unseen government document and a sugar mill in Nottinghamshire?
