We all love festive football, but that game was something else.
Straight after returning from Doha, the newly crowned Club World Cup winners had to be too tired to be able to this one. Instead, Liverpool FC went to second placed Leicester City with full confidence and beat them 4-0!

Alex Raisbeck was born on 26 December 1878 in Wallacestone, Stirlingshire.
Alex signed for Liverpool FC from Hibernian in April 1898. He made his international debut and became a LFC captain in 1900. The following year he won the First Division with the Reds. An early legend of the club❤️

Jack Balmer was a great striker who scored 110 goals for Liverpool FC in 309 official appearances between 1935 and 1952. He won the First Division with LFC in 1946-47, scoring 24 league goals that campaign.
Today wwe mark a 41st anniversary of his death. Rest in peace, Jack🙏

Happy 61st birthday Gary McAllister!

Born in Motherwell on 25 December 1964, Gary was an experienced footballer when he joined Liverpool FC on a free in the summer of 2000. He still holds the record of being the oldest outfield player to make his LFC debut (35 years, 238 days).

Steve McMahon was 30 when he left Liverpool FC on Christmas Eve 1991, as he decided to continue his career at Manchester City.
Always a tough man, a difficult opponent for any rival player, but also a very skilled midfielder. Should he stay at Liverpool for another year or two?

20-year-old Czech striker Milan Baros finally completed his move to Liverpool FC from Banik Ostrava on 23 December 2001.
He helped the Reds win the League Cup in 2003 and Champions League in 2005, netting 27 times in 108 appearances.
