I want to thank AFGE and National Vice President Anderson once again for their continued endorsement of our campaign. Even during our busy legislative week on the Hill, AFGE found the time for me to have discussions with our labor members. Our momentum keeps on going in the right direction.

I am deeply disturbed by the continued escalation of force we are seeing across this country. The videos circulating from today’s incident in Minneapolis raise serious questions, and based on what has been made public so far, this does not appear to be a clearly justified use of force.

MLK Day is a reminder that progress is never permanent,it must be defended. As attacks on civil rights, labor rights, and democracy grow louder, we are called to carry forward Dr. King’s courage and commitment to justice.

Attorney General Nessel made the right call. What house Republicans did violated the “separation of powers” requirements of our states constitution.
