A new meta-analysis of 79 studies on mortality and sleep duration found that compared to the standard range of 7-8 hours of sleep, sleeping less than 7 hours saw a 14% increase in mortality, while sleeping more than 9 hours resulted in a 34% increase in mortality.

In an observational study of over 100K adults followed for 30 years, it was found that eating healthily in mid-life was (surprise, surprise!) linked to healthier aging at 70 and 75. Healthier aging meant being free of chronic diseases, and in good mental and physical condition. More closely ... 1/3
