If elected officials could get their act together, sure thing. Doesn't have to be Cuban, of course. Need someone with charisma and vision who is outside the fray. Our current elected officials are more than occupied with fighting in the trenches today.

I've mixed opinions--but I understand your point. Our current elected officials have their hands full... Huge need for short-term, aligned voice and action combined with long-term strategic development. It's hard for people to do short term and long term at same time

Though I would've thought DK would have more value than a second round pick and a seventh/sixth swap. Maybe there's enough WR talent in the draft? idk (no pun...)

Trading an average qb with a more-than-average salary desire, looking to meet a WR’s trade demand (who borders on malcontent and draws stupid flags) while he still has value, and cutting an aged WR whose salary could be put to better use elsewhere seems reasonable. Season doesn’t start tomorrow.
