With the MLS schedule shifting to the Fall-Spring format, I pulled the avg daily temperatures for each MLS club in Dec. and Feb. ☀️🥶

Not all Nov/Dec/Feb matches will be able to be hosted in CA, FL, or TX.

Those clubs in the middle will need to host occasionally as well.

Winter is coming. Literally. 🥶⚽️

The MLS calendar flip trades mid-season summer sweat for pitch-side parkas at GEODIS Park.

How will the schedule flip affect Nashville SC?

The change will touch everything from matchday operations to non-soccer revenue. 🎸

The first big step of the #NashvilleSC offseason is the impending roster decision release.

I predicted who stays and who goes (although there will be plenty more movement this winter) as #EveryoneN begins its 2026 prep.

Also of note, Mukhtar tied his teammate, Teal Bunbury, for 35th all time in career MLS goals.

As long as Hany stays in MLS and remains healthy, he will almost assuredly finish in the Top 10 on the all-time goal scoring list.
With his game-winning, penalty-kick goal in the 90’+11’ against the Philadelphia Union, Nashville SC's Hany Mukhtar recorded his 75th career MLS goal, which are the most in the league since the start of the 2020 season and 12 more than the next-closest player (Chicho Arango, 63).

Finally recovered from last night.

Easily the best atmosphere since the Leagues Cup final.

This team and this coach are building something special. Truly elite mentality on display last night to snatch all 3 points with their backs against the wall in sweltering conditions.

Forget just spending big, Nashville SC is spending smart.

After turning over the roster, NSC is littered with tremendous value contracts. I've analyzed the MLSPA salary numbers to illustrate where performance is crushing the price tag.

Where was this contract textualist argument when the league didn’t have a force majeure clause that covered the pandemic in 2020 and ownership threatened a lockout??

MLSPA negotiated in good faith then in the face of a highly improbable event.

Time for ownership to do the same.
This is the correct question on the Club World Cup pay issue. Under the CBA, MLS agreed to pay players 50% of any $ from other tournaments up to a max of $1m/team. The CBA isn't out-of-date. Either the MLSPA failed to put in something like an escalator clause or they had other priorities.
I am curious how the MLSPA ended up with a CBA that allowed the Sounders' players to potentially get screwed out of Club World Cup pay.

It's not like this tournament snuck into a loophole in the CBA. There's a clause that specifically governs pay for additional tournaments and they agreed to it.
