Killing wolves to stop livestock attacks doesn't work. In fact, research suggests it could result in an increase in attacks. Killing wolves is counterproductive, cruel, and unsustainable. Non-lethal methods are more effective. #ProtectWolves #StandforWolves

Inger, for helvede! Du skal fandeme ikke aflive vores ulve. OG kan vi så snart få revet det åndssvage vildsvinehegn ned, som holder en ekstremt vigtig nøgleart ude af #dknatur? #dkpol #dkgreen www.dr.dk/nyheder/indl...

My biggest wish for 2025 is that this madness meets an end, and we take wildlife conservation and grey wolf conservation seriously. We have the tools to coexist, lets use them! 🐺
As we usher in 2025 + look to the future, we're reminded many states + countries are still stuck in the past.

Sweden's wolf hunt begins today + they'rey aiming to kill 5 packs (30 wolves). The govt announced in 2024 that they want to decrease the population from 375 to 170.

A new study suggests drones are a useful tool to keep livestock safe + more importantly, keep wolves safe. Many states kill wolves if they attack livestock, despite studies that show non-lethal methods (like drones) are more effective at fostering coexistence.

Excited to see how this plays out!
Study shows drones could 'haze' wolves to keep livestock safe
As wolf populations grow in Southern Oregon, ranchers are looking for non-lethal ways to keep the protected animals away from their livestock.

Wolves in Alaska need your voices!

Public comments on Board of Game proposals are due by Dec 27 + there are several that target wolves. Some call for extending trapping seasons and one especially egregious proposal would allow ADFG to kill 73-80% of wolves in one unit.
