The American regime’s overreach is continuing to make my decision to keep living here voluntarily extremely embarrassing.

Hear me out: run clubs but everyone has their headphones in and doesn’t talk.

He’s really trying to play this off as some principled anti-consumerism thing?!
Trump: “Somebody said, ‘Oh the shelves are going to be open.’ Well, maybe the children will have two dolls instead of 30 dolls. And maybe the two dolls will cost a couple bucks more than they would normally.”

The modern work reality is pinging with someone frantically on chat, while you’re in a VC meeting with them and some others on a different topic, and not seeing each other in person despite being on the same floor of an office building.

Living in NYC is weird sometimes. Like when listening to Fisk in Daredevil talking about Red Hook while the real Red Hook is clearly visible in the window next to the TV.

The higher beings are clustered around our simulation now. “Here!” they say. “This is the point where it all really starts to go south.”

It is a very alarming time to be a green card holder who thinks that Israel is doing war crimes and the US president is a moron.

Is Daredevil: Born Again a bit of a return to form for Marvel, or do I just really like tragic storylines?

I think this is one of the most alarming things I have ever read from the US government.
As part of its filings & request for temporary restraining order against the White House tomorrow, attorneys for Associated Press have submitted to the court a copy of the letter written to the AP by White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles

Letter: "This is purely a privilege of access issue"

Guess I’m only paying state taxes this year.
Breaking: The Trump Admin has killed second avenue subway and the Inter borough Express rail project.

This will have to be fully funded by the state to get completed.

Absolutely insane that the Fermi Paradox appears to be solved by the inevitable invention of video games and the subsequent culture wars, leading to the demise of any advanced civilization.

I know none of this is surprising at this point but Jesus fucking Christ.

Sounds like something an international criminal would say. www.bbc.com/news/article...
Trump signs order sanctioning International Criminal Court
The Hague-based body has created a "shameful moral equivalency" between Hamas and Israel, the White House says.

Government isn’t anywhere near as inefficient as the private contractors who price gouge government contracts.
I wonder why Musk is focused on the federal civilian workforce (4% of the budget) and not federal contractors, which account for 3x more annual spending and are more prone to waste, fraud, and abuse?

This unfortunately makes a lot of sense.
Maybe we all instantly died when they switched on the Hadron collider and everything since has been, basically, The Good Place.

I didn’t think that Tik Tok was actually trying to commit foreign interference until the ban went through and they used the opportunity for a bit of light pro-Trump propaganda.

Someone needs to study the Engineering Manager to amateur guitarist pipeline. I’m on a Calibrations Zoom call with more guitars than people.

Isn’t recent memory, has the world ever lurched so suddenly in such an awful direction?

Slowly rebuilding my Threads and Twitter graphs here.

I, for one, strongly support using Trump’s ego against him like this.
Introducing the Trump Train: an American built train capable of going up to 200 mph! We need these trains to connect all major cities in the country together so that everyone can get on the Trump Train 🇺🇸🚄

If anyone has been waiting to get into Cities Skylines 2, I’d like to tell you that the performance issues are fixed and it’s great now.

I am mostly on Threads these days (@chrishawkins), but there are some people here who are not active there who I value maintaining a connection with, so I plan to drop by on occasion.

In London last weekend I got to see the National Theatre production of the Ocean at the End of the Lane by @neilhimself.neilgaiman.com. The play absolutely did the source material justice and I highly recommend it.

Here’s hoping it gets a Broadway run at some point.
