Neat reminder at the earlier Stop Trump rally in London that Churchill invented the 'special relationship' fiction to disguise our subservience to US capital. Something that Labour has been happy to sustain over the years. Newly reinforced by Starmer's willingness to succumb to Trumpian fascism.

A reminder of how badly the McSweeney/Starmer/Reeves clique has served us (with worse surely to come) as Labour goes through the motions of a rigged deputy leadership election and Party Conference looms.

Please resist the temptation to share this at all costs...

If you're a fan of both William Blake and E P Thompson, it's well worth taking a look at Witness Against the Beast: William Blake and the Moral Law. Seeking to locate his thought in the antinomian, millenarian, radical tradition, it's a real treat!

Just read Patrick Cockburn's Believe Nothing Until it is Officially Denied: Claud Cockburn and the Invention of Guerrilla Journalism.

Superb study of his father's use of radical journalism to empower the powerless.

Recent council by-election losses for Labour at Tameside and Haringey - in parallel with bookies making Reform UK the clear favourites to win the upcoming Runcorn by-election - underline the point that Labour is a sinking ship. But the Starmer/McSweeney team remain mired in denialism...

Went to an excellent exhibition at Tate Britain, London on the Artists International Association. An anti-fascist and socialist organisation founded in 1933 to promote art as a weapon for political change. Superb! Runs till 15 July. Get there if you can.
