Are you willing to die for your country takes on deeper meanings at times like this because it does not mean are you willing to go across seas and fight, it means, are you willing to protect the ideals of a nation that you live in.

Who benefits from democrats being upset? I think it is relatively obvious with republicans, upset the poor, tell them it is a certain groups fault that they are poor or unhappy and then get the votes, but when it comes to democrats is it the same strategy or is there something else going on?
