Miami, I think, is a total sleeper team. Once it gets Tyler Herro back, the Heat is going to be a real problem. Health-permitting, they look like a top 6 team in the East for sure, with a real chance to crack into the top 4.

Miami’s defense on Nuggets “smalls” was stellar. And so the Nuggets adapted and punished them in the paint. They scored 62 points in the paint; and that kept points on the board even on a bad shooting night. They adapted to the night by adjusting to more post ups and inside play.

NO is a super high volume ball screen team, and they got just 0.778 points per possession on screening action. That is bad. Which is good for Denver. And they held NO to 44 points in the paint on 55 percent shooting. That is also well done by the Nuggets. We’ll break down more of this soon…
