Umurangi Generation definitely. One of the best games I've played, just for the atmosphere alone. It's not terribly long either.

Probably Doom.

I was too young to see R rated movies at the time too, so I had to drag my dad to it. He still (lovingly) gives me shit for that.

I will say the first 3ish areas of Hollow Knight are the worst. The game gets a lot better once you get a couple upgrades.

The majority of games I play are other people's games, either at cons or meetups. So I play them once to check them out and then I'm done.

Games I own is definitely better, but I struggle to get people to play them so not much better.
