Short time lapse of #ISS as it started to enter Earth's shadow at low altitude this evening over The Hague. Covers 15 seconds real time. There is gradual darkening and also a slight perspective shift can be seen. #astrophotography

First light for my new toy the Star Analyser SA-100. I tried it out last night on Vega. The dot on the left is the actual image of Vega (zero order maximum), on the right is the spectrum (blazed first order maximum).

Ridiculously tiny #Mars at 4.9 arcsec as it was hanging invitingly close to left of the lunar crescent this evening. 2000 x 10 ms RGB in Celestron 8" + 2.5x powermate + ADC. Moon shot 100 x 8 ms RGB in 300 mm f/4.0 lens.

I haven't done much white light solar imaging since got a dedicated solar Ha scope but in honor of AR 4079 here is a sunspot closeup on today's Sun. 500 x 0.15 ms OD 3.8 solar foil + longpass red in Celestron 8" at f/10.
