We then reviewed six high impact journals in assessment, psychopathology, and psychotherapy. Between-person designs predominate.

We asked clinicians what kind of research questions are most important to them, focusing on questions that could be addressed with between and within-person designs. For practice, within-person questions are at least as/more important
