There’s beauty in the struggle, ugliness in the success. In bondage to MUFC, Boxing, FPL, FUMA
At a time when Birmingham is being weaponised by hate mongers and bad faith actors, including the Prime Minister, Benjamin Zephaniah and his poem is a good reminder of standing ten toes tall on what unites rather than divides

Carole Malone getting a regular spot on tv to shout bigoted nonsense, and then a newspaper platform to double down sums up so much of this country’s problems

They have no answers, yet are consistently platformed to be loud and wrong. Criminal treatment has not and will not work
"Polanski slammed” reports the Daily Express. The person doing that “slamming” is, err, Daily Express journalist Carole Malone.

And the reason? Because I want us to follow a science led public health approach to regulate drug use.

Any leader on the left needs the spine to fight back against the rags as they ramp up the smear machine. Zack has it, together with a solid media strategy that can counter their nonsense
I'm never actually going to need to write another comment piece again am I?

The right wing shit rags are just going to keep recruiting for us.

Folks - want a better country?

Political messaging that is rooted in the left, articulates the true cause and real enemy that deserves the anger instead. Messaging that counters the racist narratives that Starmer’s Labour keep dialling up. Zack nails it all.

The same war crimes enabling Keir Starmer quoting Enoch Powell is so comfortable suspending Diane Abbott for speaking about clear experiences of racism

If we had any decent journalism, they’d be asking Starmer what Labour’s done to address the Forde report, and their attempted silencing of Forde
Diane was the first black woman ever to be elected.

She's spent a lifetime fighting racism and she's the mother of the house.

This will be her legacy.

What's yours, Keir?

"They do have the right to withold power and water from the Palestinians."

A weak, petulant man, Starmer can only rule by fear. Punishing those for objecting to his plans to push hundreds of thousands more into poverty.

It’s high time that voters and remaining principled MPs realise the Labour Party is long finished and collective organising starts now

The fact Starmer went through loss and still doubled down with his authoritarian and draconian dehumanising policies should tell you the truth about him instead of this boot licking nonsense.

And the nonsense about the Enoch Powell reference, do me a favour. UK journalism forever reaching new lows
I’ve written this essay for The Observer on Keir Starmer’s first year as PM, the very private side to him that you don’t often see in public, and how he has learnt from the mistakes he has made. observer.co.uk/news/politic...

Starmer calling on Iran to return to the negotiating table after Israel murdered their previous negotiators amidst diplomatic talks. Continuous support for a genocidal state, hell is not hot enough for Starmer and his complicit govt
I don't think anyone expected him to say anything better.

But he'd probably have been better maintaining his usual silence.

Iran were negotiating - when Israel launched a war on them. The US joined in - and now our Prime Minister basically says "well they were asking for it.'

This Clipse album, good lord. It’s about to be somethin real special and I need it immediately. That last verse is insane #SoBeIt #LetGodSortEmOut

We had the MoD admitting they are actively training Israeli military - actively participating in genocide.

We need a full and independent inquiry into Starmer and the Govt’s role in genocide immediately. Allowing Israel to commit war crime after war crime has led to these reckless strikes
Israel is out of control.

And it has been for a long time.

For Starmer to talk about de-escalation whilst continuing to support a genocide is increasingly absurd - and dangerous.

Amol Rajan is such a dusty weak link in the community. Forget his rivers of speech nonsense for a min, he named his kid after Winston Churchill. You cannot shame the shameless
As the UN's humanitarian chief warns that 14,000 babies could die in Gaza within the next 48 hours without aid, I am remembering Amol Rajan telling Gary Lineker: "the BBC as a whole needs to be impartial about it".

Whenever you think you’ve reached rock bottom for journalism in this country, along comes another one to remind you rock bottom has a basement
Also, I'm in my mid-50s and Powell made this speech before I was born. I suspect for most voters he's a little known, perhaps even unknown, figure. So who are Starmer's critics targeting with the reference? Apart from those in the Westminster village and academia...
Starmer's language was deplorable.

It was grotesquely offensive, accusing people who have brought their gifts to this country of doing "incalculable" "damage"; & politically foolish, in endorsing Farage's claims of an establishment conspiracy.

But bad analogies with Powell miss the key problem. 🧵
May 14, 2025 at 10:55 PM
The country continues to fall apart and at least 3 political parties, plus the media, are telling us to blame immigrants. Starmer’s also helping to shift rhetoric to just blaming ethnic minorities

We need a bold unflinching left party leader to counter these narratives and so far that’s only Zack
