How is this a reasonable response from a Prime Minister? This whole response basically boils down to excusing state abuse of a toddler as a means of punishment for the (alleged) actions of their parent/s.

Is this something that has been covered in the news or have I missed it amongst all or the other questionable appointments by this govt - "refreshed" NZ defense force leadership all the way up. Is this normal? Are the appointments good?
