If the #ACIP votes not to recommend the MMRV anymore, then that vaccine won't be covered by the Vaccines for Children Program, which makes vaccines free for low-income families. Nearly half of kids are eligible for the program. Medicaid also may not cover the MMRV as a first dose, either. #Equity

A doctor attending at the #ACIP (but not a voting member) said the committee needs to consider equity. Some underserved communities have trouble getting time off from work or transportation to clinic visits.
