On her deathbed, she is pictured taking the oath of loyalty to become a citizen of the United States. She passed away in August of 1953 at the age of 50 in Flint, Michigan.

While aboard the Titanic, Mariyam and her brother (Jirjis) enjoyed running around the hallways and playing in vacant cabins.

This is my great great grandmother, Mariyam Yūsuf Darwīsh Haddad (Tu'mah), also known as Mary Thomas. She was a third class passenger and survivor of the RMS Titanic.
