Ballet Arizona’s “Frida" capped a weekend of love: Love for comunidad y mi amor. Valentine's dinner with hubz was tasty. In Phoenix, caught the ballet which included Chavela Vargas songs. At the Arizona Latino Art and Cultural Center, I had a moment with Frida. Belated feliz día de San Valentín. ❤️❤️❤️

What characters should the story follow so that I can tell the best version of this story? What point of view might best serve the story? When and how should I release information to keep the reader engaged? What form might sustain the story for the length of a novel, and how can I intentionally break form, to add further meaning to my project? Together, we will look at key examples of novel openings from works by Rivka Galchen, Virginia Woolf, and others. when I’m especially scared, it helps me to remind myself that probably all of my women ancestors had harder lives than I’ve had. & their strength is in me, is part of the fabric of who I am & what I can perhaps do
