My god, this is so good…
This is one of the most beautiful things I have witnessed, the craft here is impeccable.

We accidentally stopped trying to prevent Ebola. Oopsies...
Musk: I should say we will make mistakes. We won't be perfect. But when we make a mistake we'll fix it quickly. So for example with USAID, one of the things we accidentally canceled briefly was Ebola prevention.

There is an ongoing belief among republicans, held with nearly religious conviction, that people receiving any type of government aid are either lazy or criminal. Two important exceptions, however:

1) This mostly does not apply to white people.
2) It absolutely NEVER applies to rich people.
Rep. Fallon on cutting food stamps: "We have a message for those kind of folks: If you're able-bodied and you want to milk the taxpayer, those days are over. Get off the couch, stop eating the Cheetos, stop buying the medical marijuana and watching television. You're actually gonna contribute now."

Very few things are more disturbing to me than the fact that millions of Americans listen to this man's imbecilic nonsense and think, "he tells it like it is!"
Trump: "We were the richest relatively -- think of this -- from 1870 to 1913. That was our richest. Because we collected tariffs ... we had so much wealth. Of course, now we give it away to transgender ... everybody gets a transgender operation."

This has been the template response from these extremist dimwits for a long time: When evidence you don't like is presented, reject the *source* of the evidence. Rejecting the source allows you to reject the evidence without even having to explain yourself. Which is helpful when you can't do that.
BROWN: What do you say to Americans if prices go up bc of tariffs?

NAVARRO: When we put on tariffs in 2018, we had price stability

B: Prices did go up on some goods -- bedding, furniture, laundry equipment

N: As far as I'm concerned, anything that comes out of Goldman Sachs, I don't believe them

Trump apparently thinks that "north" on a map is the same as "up". Once again illustrating that he has the mind of a child and doesn't understand how anything really works. Millions of people voted for this unrelenting idiocy, and I remain in shock every day that they did so.
Trump at the National Prayer Breakfast: "The water comes down from the northwest parts of Canada, I guess, but the Pacific Northwest. And it comes down by millions and millions of barrels a day and uh, I opened it up. It wasn't that easy to do. But I opened it up and it's pouring down."

An accurate assessment. It's wild watching this unfold, and as usual speaks volumes about who these guys actually are.
The Republicans hold majorities in both houses of Congress and the Supreme Court and hold the White House and they could pass basically whatever agenda they would care to enact, but they have instead decided on a unique strategy of letting someone unelected do crimes all over the federal government.

A bunch of conservative white politicians complaining that DEI lowers military standards while using a chart that spells "military" wrong. I'm not sure a representation of the Republican party and MAGA could be created that is more on the nose than this.
GOP members complaining about reduction of military standards while using a chart that misspells the word military!

And here we have Trump giving a shout-out to Canada while staring at the Matterhorn. Which is in Switzerland.

As always, his supporters will have several reactions to this:
1) It's a Deep State fake.
2) Ok it's real, but he was joking.
3) It's a secret Q code.
4) What about Hunter Biden's laptop?

If you're appalled that Trump is nominating people like RFK Jr., Gabbard, Gaetz, and Hegseth to key positions in his cabinet you're in good company. But I think a lot of Dems are misunderstanding what is happening. Understand - this isn't about qualifications. (Which they clearly lack)
