this is such an obvious game of bullshit and it makes me insane that anyone falls for it. weird how schools are no longer "meritocratic" when they are trying to attract more black and hispanic students, but are perfectly meritocratic when they're not.
like, this is one of those things that actually drives me a little crazy. dipshits will say that we want to return to the era when merit was what mattered. but when, exactly, was that? the 1970s? the 1980s? UVA only *became* meritocratic when it became a school for all Virginians.

It is 100% ok to tell your therapist that the intervention isn’t working, that you want more (or different) homework, or that you want to try someone else.
Sometimes a therapist and a client don’t mesh, and that is perfectly ok. We aren’t right for everybody (everybody isn’t right for us either).
