Anyone done the #Lego #Rivendell set? Looks like some packs are designed to be done together (eg 1 and 2) but can they be done separately or are the pieces all mixed up between the two bags?

You know on Twitter when you say that men have breasts and can get breast cancer?

So anyway, apparently I’m trans now.

It’s ages since I’ve bought any Lego so I’m thinking of taking advantage of Prime Day deals to get a pre-Christmas treat to replace my usual Lego advent calendar. But which one?

People who understand teenagers. What’s all this 6 and 7 stuff? I’m always slightly afraid to Google this stuff in case it’s worse than it sounds.

This is brilliant, and I’m glad they’ve decided to have a laugh about it rather than take it too seriously.

You’d think by now I’d have figured out the difference between 1.1m (the length required), and 1.01m (the length I actually cut).

But it’s fine. It’s not like my livelihood depends on my ability to do maths.

I am not ok with this.

(yes, I know the solution, I’m just expressing my disapproval.)

If I was the cynical type, it would occur to me that Amazon:
* noticed me browsing new kindles
* clocked, with disappointment, that I settled for just a new case for the old one
* sent out a software update so my old kindle no longer recognises that it’s charged, thus rendering it unusable.

There must be some mistake. I’ve just had my car insurance renewal quote, and it’s come in at £10 a month *cheaper* than it has been this year. I’ll still shop around just in case, but this feels too good to be true…

The absolute ideal time for someone to walk into your lesson to observe for a few minutes is just as you start trying to explain how to use Binomial probability tables.

I’m confused about the Edexcel situation. So most people did the original version of paper 2, designed to complement paper 1 nicely, while a few random others did a different version of paper 2 which massively overlapped with paper 1 and left out a whole bunch of topics? And this is fair how?
