Delighted to move this motion on behalf of @qmucu.bsky.social and particularly @ruthfletcher.bsky.social who have shown such powerful leadership on this. Carried, no votes against!
Hey #UCU2025 delegates! Have a fabulous time in Liverpool!

Our fabulous @ruthfletcher.bsky.social is speaking to our motion about ASOS deductions and detriment in the #EmploymentRigthsBill

Go and talk with her and discuss how we can act for better protection.

This was completely fantastic-educative and inspiring.
Standing ovation for guest speaker Arley Gill, Chair of Grenada Reparations Commission, at @ucu.org.uk Congress #UCU2025, inviting us to partner in the reparative struggle - to educate, organise, mobilise, and agitate, to build strong and robust coalitions and alliances to right a historical wrong.

Right, because I've now seen misunderstandings of this enough times that it's got me worried that people don't know this - transgender people in the UK are protected by the Equality Act 2010 under the category of gender reassignment.

*That* was not under discussion today and hasn't changed.

That HEPI article about teaching-track university staff seems to be annoying everyone on my feed.

Two brief requests:

1. Please remember not all disciplines are the same.

2. When you say that someone without active research can't teach at university, you're saying I can't do my job. Thanks.

It really was a bingo card of leadership cliches. Here ‘my decision to dissolve the AN in June was criticised because people didn’t understand it’

Apparently he wants a government of national unity including the people he is telling off like small children.
