I dropped off some small projects along with some quilt tops for my friend to quilt on her long arm machine. I told her to have fun with the little ones. I love them all! #quilting

I have been busy since Wednesday! Finished a nerdy baby quilt for my newest great nephew, a friendship star/memorial quilt for my friend who recently lost her husband, and then 2 throw quilts made from $1 bags of pre-cut pieces from a garage sale earlier this month.

I have been busy since Wednesday! Finished a nerdy baby quilt for my newest great nephew, a friendship star/memorial quilt for my friend who recently lost her husband, and then 2 throw quilts made from $1 bags of pre-cut pieces from a garage sale earlier this month.

My summer sewing goal: Every day, I try a new pattern AND finish something from my stack of WIPs. The bag is the new, and the reusable paper towels are 3 out of 22 that are cut. #sewing

I picked up my quilt from the quilter on Sunday, and I finished the binding this evening. I absolutely love how it turned out. I especially love the musical details in the quilting.

I decided to make a mystery quilt as part of a fundraiser for a local shop. I was given the three prints in the first photo, and allowed to choose the two coordinating solids. I am planning on using the small pink floral to bind.

Lol. I saw a production of it in Indianapolis a few years ago, and I swear that girl gave the one from the original production of run for her money. I had chills.

Started working on 15 paper pieced butterflies for a Mother's Day quilt my sister and I are working on. This Fall, we made four custom quilts for her grandkids. She'd never sewn before, but she was a quick learner. So we are on to our next project is a quilt for mom.

Pushed through and got all my borders on and made my binding! I'm thinking about making some pieced pillowcases from the scraps. I really love these fabrics.

Tried to distract myself and avoid doom-scrolling this weekend, so instead, I pieced most of a quilt top.

Turned off my phone for most of the day and played around with some new paper piecing patterns. It was exactly the fussy, complicated task I needed to reset my brain.

Can a year be both awful and amazing?
I lost my dad suddenly in January, but it brought me a much greater appreciation of my family & friends.
I have mixed feelings going into 2025, but at least I firmly know that I'm not in this alone. ❤️
