Ending-project-blues is common even outside of writing. You spend enough time on something and it feels really melancholic to say goodbye. It happens to me for programming projects and back when I did community theatre. Not surprised it’s happening to you esp. with how long you’ve spent on this

In the meantime in the past month, I've been working on other things in an attempt to get money elsewhere, but it hasn't gotten anything yet. On the upside, it's using the same tech as fluff4.me, so I have some fixes and upgrades to port back over :3 will be continuing dev there this month!

Hard (ish) numbers on plugs to allow better comparing choices in isolation. I don't tend to fully read the descriptions to understand functionality, I often have an easier time parsing the Bungie tooltips for that, but they don't provide the numbers like you do

Also if anyone wants to hire me for programming work, get in touch, my email is chiri@chiri.works. I can do whatever you need and I have an extreme work ethic.

Note that I can't do contract work — whatever I'd be paid would be double taxed — so for any work I'll need to actually be an employee

You can send us money directly via Lumina's PayPal: paypal.nz@luminamystere.works

My deadline is somewhere around October-November. If we don't have the money by then I'll probably have to go back to the US

Fanfiction is allowed? I’m not sure what you mean. When you asked in discord I saw it two hours later and told you it was with some more information. Did you happen to not see my messages after you asked?

Also as a side note, it's quite possible anything I make that does that kind of stuff isn't even a neural network *because* training neural networks is expensive. It could be as simple as manually putting together a word bank with weights to help with early detection of stuff that needs moderation

I probably could have gotten away without specifying that in the ToS btw, but being open and honest about maybe trying something like that later to help make moderation speedier, if necessary, is way better than waiting for people to find out after I already did it :p

We absolutely cannot afford to train models for those purposes right now, we have like no money lol. (The site is just made by me and my gf.) I reserved that right at launch because adding that to the ToS later would have freaked everyone out even though it's literally just exactly what it says.

I feel this a lot, but tbh I think the point of that kind of question when asked by someone that actually *cares* is more to just give you the floor for a minute to talk about what’s going on for you? And then the expectation is for you to ask and them to do the same? It’s so not obvious though

I was so confused and disappointed when it tasted like that. Weirdly it seemed like Lumina didn’t really get that from it? She actually liked the end result, meanwhile I’m legit nauseous because it tasted like the dish contained dirt. I’m wondering if people just handle the taste differently

(My apologies to any space dirt enjoyers)

And besides, you can always pick up any of that stuff again later if the mood strikes you. And it’ll probably be more common for those moods to strike you if you allow yourself to remember the fun of it, rather than the fact you stopped. 🤍

You don’t need to finish things in order for them to have been worth your time!! If you all enjoyed yourselves doing that stuff it was worth it imo. It’s the same thing as playing a new game or something imo. Yes, it may be temporary, but stopping if you’ve lost interest is normal and healthy!

What can I say, I like to do things. Whether those things are committing 18 times to 5 different projects in the span of 6 hours, or whether they are running across the house repeatedly or rolling around in bed making mewling noises

UI changes like this universally change the vibe for social platforms because they incentivise different behaviours. No limit results in longer, less tightly worded posts, forcing users to click those read more buttons when they shouldn’t have to. It’s just different enough to not be tw/bsky anymore
