CPD van just pulled up as protest outside ISAP facility at 2245 S. Michigan in Chicago, as protest against ICE detentions grows. Police vehicles now stretch down the street.

Crowd is reportedly growing at 2245 S Michigan. We've heard unconfirmed reports of 10 people detained, including an OCAD longtime member. ICE vehicles are in the alley but it’s not clear whether they will try to use those vehicles or go a different way.

Folks OTG are calling for mobilization to shift to ICE Field Office further north at 101 W. Congress, where the person could potentially be transported first.
Typically detainees are then also processed at the processing center in Broadview, IL.

Agents just took a young woman, early 20s. She was with her attorney.
Agents took her, crying, into a side room to separate her from her attorney. When the attorney tried to speak with her from the hallway, agents told her she was “interfering with law enforcement.”

His wife, a US citizen, is devastated.
Her husband is from Senegal. She said his case wasn’t dismissed & was continued by the judge to next year. They didn’t think he was at any immediate risk for deportation.
The cruelty is heartbreaking.
