That’s no drone. It’s a B-2 stealth bomber, which seems even more ominous.

It’s so good. I made my wife and kids listen to it. And I preordered the book. Stoked to read it.

We have an Odyssey (family car) and an old Tacoma (my gettin around and fixin up truck) and honestly I can fit more stuff in the Odyssey than the Tacoma. And it’s an old Tacoma with a nice long bed that you can reach from standing on the ground, not one of these new huge cab high shortbeds!

Cursed animals, the lot of them. Except the blue whale, which I would invite over.

For what it’s worth, though, I think the Dove Ellis record is more of a direct line back to “what if more fake plastic trees” and Damien Rice than filtering any of that stuff though Geese or CW or anything in 2010s or 2020s.

That may be, but it doesn’t mean it’s not pretty good

I Love People I think is Cory’s best solo joint. I love Wand deeply, and have always found his solo stuff too straightforward to parse knowing it comes from the same fount as Wand records. Like, the dissonance just makes me think “I should put on Plum instead.” Anyway this album is a treat.

That’s too bad but on the other hand now I’m not tempted to make them tomorrow

These are either incredible or awful, and I can see it going either way. What did you think.

Anyway, this TED talk brought to you by the title “Tremblers by Goggles and Rank” which has been bouncing around in my brain for 3 years and which I cannot get out.

Communication is what makes us special; we can influence one another’s thoughts and feelings with words even they don’t mean anything in any traditional sort of way. GbV album titles are like dog barks. Varied like the colors of leaves or butterflies, similar like the grains of sand at the beach.

These are great turns of phrase that mean a lot because the of way the sound and the space they take up in your brain. Or mine at least. And I suspect Robert Pollard’s. Examples of the utility of language, and of both the evolutionary dominance of the human species as well as our animal nature.

And since then, they haven’t gone more than a few consecutive releases without at least one real memorable one in there. You can’t really shake a stick at a title like Welshpool Frillies, Sweating the Plague, or August by Cake.

Let’s Go Eat the Factory kicked off a strong 5-LP run, with Class Clown Spots a UFO, The Bears for Lunch, and Motivational Jumpsuit all being among Pollard’s strongest work.

I know a couple of chiropractors and I avoid talking about their work with them because one of them is a real true believer and I just can’t. I have been wondering if there are any good books about it, though, because I’ve read the wiki and some articles and stuff, but I kinda wanna go deep on it.
