Not sure if you want suggestions for tree of the day, I saw this lovely oak in a local wood yesterday. It was smothering the ground with acorns.

Watching a Great crested grebe. It dived. I waited. When it surfaced with a fish I was too slow, the fish was gobbled down before I framed the picture

It must be a small-flower day. Here's some tiny forget-me-not. The flowers are about 5mm across. The centres turn white when they have been pollinated to show the pollinators that there will be no nectar in that flower.

There's a lot of herb robert in my garden. It is usually thought of as a weed, but it seems a shame to weed it out.

The partial eclipse is well underway. The clouds make it interesting I think. Just a reminder, DO NOT look at the sun directly, even wearing sunglasses. You will permanently damage your eyes.
