Don’t follow the science but the scientific method. Family man, boater, fisherman, hiker, biker, very amateur poet. The cure for boredom; curiosity.
Indoctrination or prideful, misguided ego.

There are solid strategic and economic benefits for the US and the world for having an expanded US presence in Greenland. It would be long term investment.

Hopefully damage from any salt water or fire retardant dumping will be minimal if any. Nature is resilient, however, it certainly will recover from fire.

Welcome to BS. Frank from Coastal South Jersey. You?
January 13, 2025 at 12:49 PM
Fine. How do you do?

You’re correct. There is a malaise over the country. I think we need a return to common sense and a more positive attitude. There are too many that promote hate and hopelessness. I reject them.

The point is we can reduce much more carbon with nuclear than renewables and we still need fossil fuels very much. There never will be a factory that runs on Sun and wind alone.

I’m not lying. That’s me, year before last after painting my boat. I was 70. I just turned 72.
January 13, 2025 at 1:07 AM
No, you’re way too pessimistic. It’s never been better im many ways. Just need a return of common sense. I’m 72, there were worse times. Stop listening to the trolls.

Why wait? Fusion could take decades. Today there are safer, better fission reactor designs. NJ gets 50% of its electricity from nuclear for decades without incident.

All the more reason to promote energy dense nuclear power over energy sparse renewables, smaller footprint over orders of magnitude increases in resources, milling and space.

Makes no sense unless you ignore years of historical precedence and doesn’t do a thing to help. In fact, destructive.

Fires require an ignition source. Over 90% are human related. Raging wildfires need fuel and O2. Tinder buildup provides the fuel. Wind provides the O2. Even if the winds were 50% less, fires could rage. SoCal has a long history of wildfires and WX conditions conducive to fires.

Just want to point out all those planes as well as fire fighting and water pumping equipment run on fossil fuel. Nuclear power can replace fossil fuel energy generation very effectively. Renewables won’t.

Be patient, be persistent, using rewards, treats, may work. Good luck.
