So anyone can break laws that harm the country, enrich themselves, engage in treason or insurrection, engage in any number of corrupt activities on behalf of a president or political party then be preemptively pardoned prior to being charged or convicted?! That is the threat to democracy folks.

SoCal - a warm, arid area prone to droughts. Santa Ana winds - hot dry downslope winds reaching high speed. High population density. Poor forest management and inadequate water resources for emergencies. Inflation leading to increased repair/replacement costs. Leadership not up to the challenges.

Political parties who blame corporations often do so to deflect from their failures. Government’s role is to regulate. Corporations are to profit. Both need constraint and control. The media needs to report objectively to help us choose well. Big biz always donated to inaugurations. Why news now?

Big corporations need some constraint but I don’t hate them. They provide good jobs, advance our society. They’re the reason we emerged victorious in WW2. CEOs can be wealthy but it takes skill to be. Many are the captains of our economy that benefits us all. We’re better with them than without them

I’m admittedly cynical about DC politics. I think it abounds in corruption, obsession with power and cowardice. Too many politicians go in poor and leave rich, use taxpayer money to buy votes, don’t have the courage to take responsibility for difficult issues, just don’t live like the rest of us.

Sorry but Hunter was guilty of gun violations, tax evasion, FARA violations, and I think several other crimes. Common folks don’t get those considerations. He committed worse crimes than trespassing onto government property.

I have an X, TS and BluS account. All have their share of divisive, propagandists spewing vitriol. I’d like to invite reasonable, constructive comment on a serious issue, national debt. Don’t know if DJT will succeed but we can’t ignore it. If not, there will be an Econ disaster before an Eco one.
