Don’t follow the science but the scientific method. Family man, boater, fisherman, hiker, biker, very amateur poet. The cure for boredom; curiosity.
If it’s true that FEMA funds were directed to pay for illegal immigrant accommodations, rather than to NC, LA or FL, then the government should be dismantled.

If you give your teen your credit card and he runs up a bill you can’t afford, do you first give them more money or first say, “Hey, what are you spending all this money on?” It’s stupid common sense.

So anyone can break laws that harm the country, enrich themselves, engage in treason or insurrection, engage in any number of corrupt activities on behalf of a president or political party then be preemptively pardoned prior to being charged or convicted?! That is the threat to democracy folks.

SoCal - a warm, arid area prone to droughts. Santa Ana winds - hot dry downslope winds reaching high speed. High population density. Poor forest management and inadequate water resources for emergencies. Inflation leading to increased repair/replacement costs. Leadership not up to the challenges.

The group that understood the high risk that various natural conditions and authoritative policies posed to the coastal
SoCal area were the insurance company actuaries. Their recommendation was to raise fire insurance rates. The CA legislature decided to cap rates rather than study the impact report

Horrible tragedy in CA. Here are some fire facts. Ignition temp of wood is min 482F. The Santa Ana winds been reported since the mid-1800’s. The leading ignition source of wildfire is human caused.

IMO, the white supremacists at Charlottesville lawfully applied for the right to assemble. They’re not good people but they weren’t hiding, weren’t plotting terror. Terror inspired citizens and terrorists crossing our border are not known. The FBI needs to prioritize. Not parents, J6, or Catholics.

Van Jones doesn’t like Trump but he calls them as he sees them. It’s better to be realistic than angry. I disagree with him on some things, agree on others but he can be fair.

I dreamt I was at a table where everyone revealed their IQ. Mine was the lowest. Meaning: I’m dumb enough to say whatever is on my mind? Stupidity yields brilliance? Or just dumb?

Political parties who blame corporations often do so to deflect from their failures. Government’s role is to regulate. Corporations are to profit. Both need constraint and control. The media needs to report objectively to help us choose well. Big biz always donated to inaugurations. Why news now?
December 15, 2024 at 2:23 PM
Big corporations need some constraint but I don’t hate them. They provide good jobs, advance our society. They’re the reason we emerged victorious in WW2. CEOs can be wealthy but it takes skill to be. Many are the captains of our economy that benefits us all. We’re better with them than without them

Musk is a hero. Not because he backed Trump. Soros, Musk can back anyone they want. A hero because he bought Twitter and exposed the gov. and SM tampering with free speech. That crosses the line with me. Suppressing the truth is wrong. No matter who does it. Germs die in sunshine.

The Democratic Party keeps bleeding followers. They lost Kennedy, Gabbard, Rogan & Musk - good, young, brash talent. Lost youth, Hispanic, Black, Jewish, Asian, religious, men and me. Why? Listen to Van Jones. Gotta stop hating a group to elevate another. Perspective, patience and politeness may win

A lot of folks claim Trump is gonna give tax breaks to billionaires. Here’s what I remember. With Trump everything was cheaper so wages purchased more. That helped the little guy. Under Biden, no one made out except millionaires and billionaires. I call ‘em as I see ‘em.

I’m admittedly cynical about DC politics. I think it abounds in corruption, obsession with power and cowardice. Too many politicians go in poor and leave rich, use taxpayer money to buy votes, don’t have the courage to take responsibility for difficult issues, just don’t live like the rest of us.

Sorry but Hunter was guilty of gun violations, tax evasion, FARA violations, and I think several other crimes. Common folks don’t get those considerations. He committed worse crimes than trespassing onto government property.

National debt is a serious issue that deserves thoughtful discussion, not divisiveness. Regardless of political views, we can't afford to ignore its long-term impact on the economy. Let's engage in constructive dialogue before it becomes an even bigger problem.

I have an X, TS and BluS account. All have their share of divisive, propagandists spewing vitriol. I’d like to invite reasonable, constructive comment on a serious issue, national debt. Don’t know if DJT will succeed but we can’t ignore it. If not, there will be an Econ disaster before an Eco one.

Bringing sense to the modern world around us.
He writes of love, and fear and loss of way
At times being quite humorous.
