I’m convinced the AI fetishists have the poorest understanding of art, literature, film, aesthetics, as a collective group.
They don’t understand any of it or understand other people’s pleasure in these things, but they have the hubris to believe they can use AI to ‘disrupt’ it all anyway.

I’m increasingly fascinated with how the idea of no longer having a shared universe of meaning with any other human beings has become the rallying vision for a utopian future among AI proponents. What does this mean?
