This lunch is a very old Thai classic, ขนมจีนซาวน้ำ Kanom Jin Sao Nam, fermented rice noodle tossed with freshly pressed coconut milk and a variety of sweet fruits, tart leaves, pungent alliums, & white turmeric. Served with grilled fish dumplings in turmeric-scented coconut milk.

Maybe I’ll just post what I have for lunch every day while I’m here in Bangkok. This is ปลาดุกผัดฉ่า stir fried catfish in spicy chili paste and wild ginger. A simple market lunch but so damned good.
