4. This university is EXPENSIVE. So my question is: what the fuck are they doing with all the money? The art dep doesn’t have low attendance or low demand to excuse these choices but they’re super comfortable giving us sub-par education. Why?

3.something I went to a small community college before this and they would have staff coming in as early as 5am on registration days to prepare for questions, issues with transfer credits, etc. Why is this big, VERY expensive uni not doing anything similar?

3.5 My advisor also fails to answer emails AND on the day enrollment for winter semester opened, the registrar’s office didn’t open until 10am. My advisor told me the uni is intentionally offering too few classes and too few seats that semester so why the fuck weren’t they prepared for the panic?

3. Advising for art program is hard to get into. As a transfer student this meant spending a full 20 hours trying to fill a hole in my schedule created by a transfer credit goof bc SO many of the general ed profs have HORRIBLE ratings on rate my professor. This is unacceptable.

2.5 a HUGE part of the college experience is networking and getting diverse perspectives and teachings. That cannot happen with one full time prof who’s expected to teach most of the classes, AND they’re talking abt cutting part time faculty funding, so it’s going to get even more limited.

2. All but ONE of the full time professors have quit or retired and the school does not have plans to replace them. The professor they still have is fantastic; super understanding, super patient, pushes people out of their comfort zones and gives great critique and advice, but he’s just one man.

1. The painting studio is falling apart. The ceiling is shedding paint like mad and it falls into people’s paint, hair, etc. All but like 2 of the outlets are non functional. The school does not seem in a hurry to fix any of this, and it seems to be a longstanding issue.

Yes! And if you use Libby, you can load all of the cards into it and switch between them super easily! If one of the libraries has a faster wait time it’ll suggest that library for you. Makes my life so much easier!
