This Firefly Friday, I'm thinking about the female California Pink Glow Worm I got to see this summer. Contrary to popular belief, fireflies do exist on the west Coast! (I was too excited and forgot to take photos, so this one is from the Xerces Society)

I want to know how bioluminescent animals know when to glow. 💡 Right now I study the evolution of biological rhythms in bioluminescent Caribbean ostracods. Previously, I've studied the evolution of femme fatale fireflies.
Only time can tell what I'll do next! ⏰
