I have faced fascism before, in this very country. I was one of 120,000 Japanese Americans summarily rounded up and expelled from our homes at gunpoint, all for the crime of looking like the people who bombed Pearl Harbor.

I miss the community and how easy it used to be to connect with people on Twitter. After everything with the muskrat, it became so hard to sift through the bots and ads and spam to find the people I actually wanted to engage with. I’m hopeful that Bluesky can recapture that aspect of community.
