Retired from career as a FP/Medical Clinic Physician Administrator at age 45 due to permanent cognitive effects of repetitive concussions. Took a while figuring out what to do with the rest of my life, but at age 64 I found weaving.
I'm getting better with every piece. So far 2 warps with 11 projects finished in 3 yrs, > 1/2 were small sampling ones. I'm looking forward to my next setup, with 4 shaft switches/inch rather than 3. My original set up on the 30+ year old HD Rug Loom I bought allowed 2 shaft switches/inch.

Nice. I enjoyed the MPD FB group, hopefully we'll see more patterns here. I'm relatively new in my weaving journey, started with rugs & still experimenting there but hopefully soon to get another floor loom, hope to work my way through MPD patterns. Figuring it out.

Nice. I enjoyed the MPD FB group, hopefully we'll see more patterns here. I'm relatively new in my weaving journey, started with rugs & still experimenting there but hopefully soon to get another floor loom, hope to work my way through MPD patterns. Figuring it out.

I get great light from the side on my table loom and one of my floor looms and love to take photos too. Looms are like works of art as well as for my one loom, vintage furniture.

That's coming up on my list, working up from 2S (Rep Weave & Indian Style Saddle Blanket throw) to 3S(Krokbragd) on my new Glimakra 10S loom. Planning a rug/wall hanging depending on how it turns out. Small samples make great trivets. Works for table runners too.

Weaving found me in 2020, as our home was being built w/o planned weaving space. I took over a storage room in the walk out basement for my studio with 2 floor looms(46" 4S, 40" 10 S), added a 32" 8S table loom in our great room & planning a 3rd 4-8S floor loom in my office.
