I picked this up yesterday and played about 90 minutes so far. I'm enjoying it more than I did last time I played it, but I think it was mainly the QTE stuff that put me off last time.

And I didn't like that each time you pressed the wrong button, Lara dies a horrible death.

There are several excellent titles for the N64, but only one I replay on an almost annual basis, which is The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. It's incredible how well it holds up, from the gameplay, the visuals, story and music. It's a fantastic game that I come back to again and again.

For the most part I had a blast, there were just a few obtuse objectives that weren't obvious at all, and it took failing some objectives to realise what I actually needed to do.

Otherwise, good fun. I really enjoyed the Air Force One sections.

I knew throwing in the kitchen sink wasn't working, and I did try the method that ended up being correct, quite early in, but I guess I didn't try long enough as nothing looked like it was working.

Still, the Y2K PS1 demo disc end credits are weirdly nostalgic.

I've got this one on my wishlist. Might give it a go pay day.

And considering it's had two feature length direct presentations, I thought it would be decent at least.

I wasn't feeling it either. I was hoping the test demos would win me over, but if anything, it did the opposite. I was quite disappointed.

I remember the early 2000s, a lot of outlets would use Tomb Raider as the description for a third person type game.

I was pretty much sold by the title screen tbh.

That's what it's coming down to for me as well. If it's as much as any of the other current gen consoles then I'm already priced out of it.

I did not give it another shot.

I was really underwhelmed. I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised like I was with Drag x Drive, and I thought it would be good considering the spotlight it's been given.

But I'll carry on with the backlog instead.

Me neither. I went into it with low expectations, and they were pretty much met, with nothing better to add.

I was hoping it would win me over. It looks great, but I just didn't have fun playing it.

I remember my best pal getting the game for his 12th birthday, and when we weren't playing it, we'd be blaring the CD in the kitchen. The good ol days. 😅
