I'm a retired journalist from when reporters were watchdogs, not lapdogs. I was proud to stand against a new airport near Chicago years ago. I naively believed that no one was above the law. Now I make quilts, write, and live a simple life.

#Sistersinlaw The judiciary is the only hope we have right now, but justice takes too long, and sadly, is broken-particularly the Attorney General and right wing of the Supreme Court! We need a demonstration for justice.

This is ultimate control. And we have lost it.

Trending right now, Grammys, Black History Month, Beyonce, Luka Doncic, Knicks, oh, and Musk Takeover. THIS IS WHY WE ARE IN THE POSITION WE ARE IN. TOTAL LACK OF PRIORITIES BY THE AMERICAN PUBLIC!

Elon Musk is not a Federal employee or a political appointee. DOGE is not a real department. None of their activities are legal. This is a coup. The Republicans in Congress are willing participants in it. At what point do Democrats in DC get that and start acting like it? It’s not the price of eggs!

The men carrying out Musk's coup are Akash Bobba, Edward Coristine, Luke Farritor, Gautier Cole Killian, Gavin Kliger, and Ethan Shaotran.

Make them famous. And, eventually, when possible, arrest them and charge them with multiple felonies. www.wired.com/story/elon-m...

Engineers between 19 and 24, most linked to Musk’s companies, are playing a key role as he seizes control of federal infrastructure.

Somebody stop him! Somebody come up with a plan! Are there Democrats in this country that know how to hold a damn press conference?

And what is up with Nancy Mace, R - SC? When she was first elected, she seemed a bright spot in a pathetic political party. But now?! She behaves like a rabid dog who never learned the decorum befitting the people's representative. Disgraceful! Remember, they work for us!

Watching the confirmation hearings makes me sick! So these are the best people? The government of the people, by the people, and for the people is just another tooth fairy, Santa Claus, and sky guy fantasy.

#SistersInLaw Has anyone tallied the amount of money that Trump has spent on court cases, and how much of our tax dollars have been wasted on his appeals, motions and frivolous lawsuits?

Why doesn't the White House Press Pool and every journalist at the Washington Post march over to the Supreme Court and start shouting questions at Thomas and Alito?

Merrick Garland,

Drop the appeal to reinstate the indictments for Nauta and De Oliveira. The Trump DOJ will do it anyway.

Release both volumes of the Special Counsel report.

Do not become an unwitting accomplice in their efforts to suppress the truth.

Sincerely,

Sane America

I just listened to my favorite podcast #SistersInLaw, and have to say, it sure is cold out here on the ledge, but perhaps with so many of us out here, perhaps body heat will help us keep from freezing.

I watched Air Force One land at Andrews yesterday; I listened to Hail to the Chief today at Jimmy Carter's funeral. Both have such deep meaning to me and to our country. For the next 4 years I cannot watch that beautiful plane or hear that glorious musical anthem to our President.

It is heartwarming to hear the eulogies bestowed upon Jimmy Carter, a man whose character we have not seen often enough on the world stage and certainly are not likely to see again, at least not for the next four years and likely beyond. 😢
